Nothing, it's freeware.
You don't have to. I would of course be very happy if you did.
CineGobs Keyer is a hobby project that I do for fun. That's one of the reasons I've written it in C#/.net. To make actual plugin versions I'd have to rewrite everything in C++, and that's not going to happen. Since I'm a Sony Vegas user myself, I might create a plugin version for Vegas, but I won't consider it until Sony releases a .net compatible SDK.
From v. 2.x, configuration file(Settings.xml) and temporary files used with AviSynth(CineGobsKeyer.avs/CineGobsKeyer_B.avs) are stored in the application data folder.
On Windows XP that's: \Documents and Settings\(User)\Application data\CineGobs\CineGobs Keyer On Windows Vista that's: \Users\(User)\AppData\Roaming\CineGobs\CineGobs Keyer
Nothing is stored in the registry.
Everything is stored in the same folder as the application.
You must have a Video for Windows compatible codec for the file you try to open, otherwise CineGobs keyer doesn't know what to do with it.
Solution: Install a VFW codec compatible with the file in question. Alternatively you can install AviSynth which uses the DirectShow interface instead.
Read more about video formats on the importing video page.
You have tried to open a file using AviSynth, but AviSynth is not installed on your pc.
Solution: Install AviSynth.
